Hernandez Family Law | Alejandro Trejo

a little bit about me

Alejandro Trejo was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He comes from a large family of eight and grew up in one of the most underserved neighborhoods in the state. When his father left during childhood, his oldest brother stepped into a leadership role, working to support the family while their mother cared for the household. Growing up bilingual and navigating systems that were not designed to help families like his shaped Alejandro’s perspective early on.

As a first-generation college student, Alejandro earned his bachelor’s degree in Business (Law) from Arizona State University and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from ASU as well. His decision to practice family law was intentional. Rather than working in areas of law removed from everyday life, Alejandro was drawn to family law because it allows him to work closely with real people facing deeply personal and life-altering challenges.

Alejandro understands that clients often come to family court feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and intimidated by the legal system. He approaches each case with a calm, steady demeanor, taking time to explain the process clearly and ensure clients feel heard and supported. He believes no one should feel alone while navigating issues involving their family, finances, or future.

One of the reasons Alejandro was drawn to Hernandez Family Law was the opportunity to use his Spanish fluency to serve underserved communities and help clients who may otherwise struggle to advocate for themselves. He is especially committed to assisting individuals who feel least equipped to navigate the legal system on their own.

Outside of work, Alejandro enjoys basketball, weightlifting, kickboxing, and staying active. He values his faith and spends as much time as possible with his family, including his wife, as they prepare to welcome their first child.

my first priority

The only way I can start building a case plan around your family’s future is by understanding what you want. I listen more than I talk. I do this because I want to know your fears, your desires and your dreams. I want to see those dreams come true.

it is what it is

I won’t lie to you just to tell you what I think you want to hear. I will tell you when I think you are being reasonable. And, I will tell you when I think you are being unreasonable, too. Part of my job is to not set you up for failure, and this sometimes involves sharing some hard truths. I only do this to save you from future pain.

the whole truth

Nobody can ever guarantee anything in life. Despite what some might say, lawyers can’t guarantee results or foretell the future. I can give you examples of past experiences I’ve had with cases like yours, but in the end, the only thing I can guarantee is that my team and I will do our very best in your case.
