As the daughter of a Juvenile Law Attorney and a City of Tempe Police Officer, I’ve always known that I would work in the legal field. In 2002, I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Justice Studies. After graduation, I worked for several years with Arizona State University’s Prevention Research Center. The Prevention Research Center facilitated a community outreach “Bridges” program that was designed to encourage teenagers achieve secondary education.

During my work with the Bridges program, I learned the value of working with families and assisting them through various domestic issues. My role in this program inspired me to enter law school in 2005. During the summer of 2005, my husband, children and I moved from Phoenix, Arizona to Elkridge, Maryland. My husband worked in Baltimore, Maryland and I attended law school in Washington, D.C. Moving to the east coast and receiving my legal education several blocks from the White House was an invaluable experience.

Upon graduation, I decided to return to the Phoenix area where I could rejoin my extended family. I passed the Arizona Bar in 2010 and that year I began working as an Administrative Law Judge with the Arizona Department of Economic Security, Appellate Services Administration. After two years, I was promoted to the Appeals Board where I presided over unemployment insurance cases, employment tax cases and public assistance benefit cases. My work with the Appellate Services Administration furthered my desire to work with families and assist them with their legal needs.

In 2015, I joined the Hernandez Family Law Firm. As a Domestic Relations Attorney, I encounter individuals that are undergoing the stress and turmoil of difficult legal proceedings. Our clients deserve and need a compassionate attorney on their side. At the Hernandez Family Law Firm, our clients and their needs come first. Our goal is to help guide you through this difficult time in your life. We will work diligently to achieve the best outcome in every situation.
